Head Dean, Dean of Students named at Stagg High School

Experienced Sisk to take on Head Dean position

The District 230 Board of Education approved the appointment of Shannan Sisk as Head Dean at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School.

Shannan first joined District 230 in 2003 as a Special Education teacher. She worked in the Special Services Department for 12 years then transitioned to the Intervention Room where she taught for two years, before taking the role of Dean of Students. Shannan received a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, a master’s in Special Education from Saint Xavier University and a graduate degree in Educational Leadership from DePaul University. She assumes the head dean role as Andy DeCraene accepted the Associate Principal of Activities.

"Shannan brings a wealth of experience as a Head Dean to the Stagg community," said Superintendent Dr. Bob Nolting. "She is a proven leader who believes all students should be in a learning environment that promotes and encourages inclusiveness, safety and engagement."
