Hickory Hills Street Fair Offers Car Show, Crafts, Rides, Beer, Music

HICKORY HILLS, IL — The 2022 Hickory Hills Streets Fair returns for its 42nd year this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and Aug. 28. The street fair features an arts and crafts show, beer and wine, food vendors, entertainment and rides. You can find the fair on Roberts Road between 91st and 95th Streets.

The street fair gets going Saturday, Aug. 27, with an outdoor concert featuring Chicago’s number one, acoustic rock-driven band American Pie, from 7 to 10 p.m. American Pie hits the fair’s Main Stage Beer Tent in the Huntington Bank parking lot at the corner of 94th Street and Roberts Road. The concert is free.

Sunday, Aug. 28, features a full day of fun from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including a carnival, car show, crafters, food vendors, bingo and more.

Fred and Friendz perform from noon to 3:30 p.m.There is just too much fun to mention.

New this year is the Hickory Hills Car Show, situated between 95th to 93rd Street, Check-in time is 10 to 11 a.m., with over 80 classic wheels on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Awards will be handed out at 4 p.m., including:

Late Model: 1st & 2nd
80s : 1st & 2nd
70s : 1st & 2nd
60's : 1st & 2nd
50s : 1st & 2nd
Antique: 1st& 2nd

Categories will have prizes for stock and modified cars. There will also be a Mayor’s Choice Award and Best of Show.

Reserve a space for $10 by completing the application. Drop it off or mail it to City of Hickory Hills, 8652 W. 95th St., Hickory Hills, IL, 60457, by Friday, Aug. 26. Make checks payable to City of Hickory Hills.

Day-of-event entry is available on a first come, first served basis. Add $5 to the entry fee. All proceeds benefit the Hickory Hills Kruse Krew Solider Care Packages.
