PALOS HILLS-HICKORY HILLS, IL — Residents went wild this weekend for a little winter creativity. The Hills Chamber, serving businesses in Palos Hills and Hickory Hills, announced a snowman building contest on Facebook.

Over 40 entries were sent to the Hills Chamber, as Hickory Hills and Palos Hills residents used the 9-plus inches of snow dumped on the Chicago area to build snowmen, snow women and snow children.

Two winners will be announced later this week to win a gift certificate to a member restaurant in Palos Hills and Hickory Hills. The winners will be notified by email on Feb. 5.
