PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A Homewood man was picked up for check washing in Palos Heights stemming from an incident in October, police said. Marcus Wade, 37, was charged Jan. 4 with one felony count of forgery.
A resident reported mailing a check for a bill on Oct. 21. The check was intercepted and altered. A man, later identified as Wade, deposited the check using a mobile phone app, police said.
