If You Make The Best Chili In The World, Enter It's Chili In The Park
Do you make the best chili on the block or perhaps the world? Then enter Palos Park's "It's Chili In The Park," cook off, Saturday, Feb. 10.
PALOS PARK, IL — If you think your chili can bring on the heat, then enter “It’s Chili In The Park outside the Palos Park Recreation Center, 8901 W. 123rd St. The chili cook off is Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Palos Park Recreation and Parks Department is still looking for chili cooks and testing judges. If you are interested, email recreation@palospark.org or call 708-671-3760.
Cooks will compete for prizes and points that will take them to CASI’s national competition. The local Palos Park cook off includes red chili and traditional style.

The chili cookoff is officially sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) event, with specific rules for each cook to follow for their chili to qualify.
Doors will open at 12:30pm with public tasting beginning at 1:15pm. There is a $5 tasting fee per person. To register, complete the application.

This event benefits the Palos Park Beautification Committee who will be taking on the preservation and maintenance of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial on The Village Green as well as other projects throughout the community.
