
Passed peacefully on 3/25/22. He was born in Chicago on February 7, 1957. He was the beloved husband of his wife, Lori Strenk (Marfell).
He is survived by his wife Lori,his sister, Eileen Hofstetter (the late Michael Hofstetter), his brother, Tom Strenk (Joan Rohlwing), his Aunt Judith Strenk, and a host of cousins. Jim was the proud uncle of Adam (Chantel), Clayton, Emma, Trey, Mikaela, Dominic, Peyton, Gabrielle, and Barrett. He was the fond son-in-law of Dennis and Jennifer Marfell, as well as Joyce Marfell.
Jim was raised in Oak Lawn. He was the dear son of the late Dr. Edward M. Strenk (Dorothy)and the late Mrs. Arlene Strenk (Litoborski).

Jim was a 1975 graduate of Morgan Park Academy, and a 2001 graduate of Moraine Valley Community College. Jim held many jobs in his chosen field of computer aided drafting and design, but he was proudest of the time he spent teaching at MVCC and Joliet Junior College.

trains, and the Chicago Bears. Anyone who met Jim was touched by his fun-loving sense of humor and quick wit. All who knew him, knew that if they needed Jim he would be there. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation Thursday, March 31st 3:00 -8:00 p.m. Chapel service Friday, April 1st, 10:00 a.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 West 127th Street, Palos Heights.
Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
