Job Applicant Tosses Liquid In Dunkin Donut Employee's Face: Cops

An arrest warrant was issued for a Palos Hills man who police say threw disinfectant in employee's face after filling out job application.

HICKORY HILLS, IL -- An arrest warrant was issued for a Palos Hills man, police said threw liquid into the face of a Dunkin Donuts employee. David Berry, 30, is wanted for a misdemeanor battery charge.

According to the charges, Berry walked into the Dunkin Donuts, 7847 W. 95th St. in Hickory Hills on Oct. 12, 2018. Berry allegedly had a cup of yellow liquid, which he threw the liquid into the employee’s face. A Hickory Hills police officer testified that the liquid smelled like disinfectant. Berry was identified in a photo array after he had come to the shop earlier in the day to fill out a job application.

After several voicemail messages to Berry asking him to come to the Hickory Hills police station, the officer told the judge that Berry said he wouldn’t turn himself in. A warrant wa issued for $5,000.
