Joe's Italian Villa Close to Opening in Palos Heights
Liquor license granted by city council last week.

Joe’s Italian Villa Pizza is moving into Palos Heights in the space at 12207 S. Harlem Ave. formerly occupied by Papa’s Fresh Foods. Last week, the city council granted the new restaurant a liquor license.
Frank Serio said he hopes to be open by Thanksgiving.
Formerly in Bridgeview and doing business since 1947, the restaurant needed a new home after the owners, Frank and Mary Serio, learned the building would be put to a different use after expiration of their lease.

“We were just driving around, looking for a place,” Mary Serio told The Regional News, explaining how they chose Palos Heights. “We were attracted by the price, plus the spot is great. Plus, it’s fairly close to our old location. We wanted to make sure we were near our longtime customers, who have been our bread and butter for 45 years.”
