Kevin Bernard Ready

Visitation & Funeral Info.

Kevin Bernard Ready, aged 73, passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2023 with his loving wife Cathy by his side. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, father-in-law and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Treasured husband of Cathy (nee Daker) Ready. Loving father of Kevin (Kim) Ready, Michael (Rachel) Ready, Sheila (Mike) Mackey, Patrick (Betsy) Ready, Maggie (Matt) Garvey. Proud Papa of Abigail, Kevin, Jane, Jack, Courtney, Nora, Katherine, Patrick, Charlie, Anna, Eddie, Emily, Michael, Rose, Tommy and Joey. Dear brother of Jane and the late Gerald Luckman, Julie (Walt) Kay, Bob Ready, Liz (Steve) Mills, Rosemary (Scott) Logue. Cherished brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle to many.

Kevin was born on January 21, 1950 in Chicago to the late Bernie Burke and Rita Ready and was proudly raised by Robert Ready. He attended Catholic school throughout his education. He had a hardworking and loyal career with Ready Paving and Arrow Road Construction. But more than anything, Kevin was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren in Michigan in the summer months, sharing stories and laughs. He was always there to offer a ride to practice, a home repair, a small (or big) gift, and a big congratulations on whatever the accomplishment.
