Kids Report Suspicious Car In Palos Park, Cops Investigating

Palos Park police are investigating a report of a suspicious car and driver near a school bus stop on Thursday afternoon.

PALOS PARK, IL -- Police are investigating a delayed report of a suspicious person and car near a school bus stop late Thursday afternoon.

Around 3:40 p.m., near the Dist. 118 bus stop near 125th Street and 82nd Avenue, two young girls were talking in a driveway, when a newer black vehicle drove past. The car was driven by an older white male, with gray hair and gray beard.

The vehicle returned several minutes later, traveling northbound on 82nd Avenue. Police said the girls had a “strange feeling” about the car and driver. No contact was made and the windows were up. The driver did not make any attempt to converse with the girls, and there were “no overt acts.”

Police checked for similar cars in the area and any possible home security video that may have caught the car or driver. Anyone with information about the driver and vehicle is asked to contact the Palos Park Police Department at 708-448-2191.
