Kids Show Off Their Brands In Youth Entrepreneur Fair At MVCC

PALOS HILLS, IL — Future business leaders show off their brands at the Youth Entrepreneur Fair this Saturday, Feb. 10. Browse over 40 booths from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Business and Conference Center at Moraine Valley Community College, 9001 W College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Kids ages 6 through 14 will display their unique products and services, ranging from edible fruit art, jewelry, lip balms, candles, paintings and slimes. The young entrepreneurs will pitch their products and services while learning the lessons and social skills needed to run a successful business.

The event is being organized by the Arab American Business And Professional Association, MVCC, the Acton School of Business and Pet City. The top businesses will be judged on business potential, innovative ideas, most impressive presentation, and all-around excellence

Elementary and middle school students from southwest suburban school districts developed a brand, created products and services and designed a marketing strategy for the one-day fair. Forty-one booths are featured, including:

• Shapes - “I published a book called "Shapes". It currently sells on Amazon. It is for children who want to learn basic and advanced shapes through geometrical and real life examples.”

• Art on the Cart - Hand-painted decor including mugs,plates,wall decor,and other items.
• Madeline’s Bracelets - Handmade bracelets.
• Alyssa's Creativity Castle - Handmade jewelry, including bracelets, necklaces, phone charms, and earrings, along with paintings, mochis, sticker printing, and bracelet kits.
