PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Children and teens age 18 and younger can participate in the USDA’s Summer Food Rocks program. A free breakfast will be provided in the cafeteria at Shepard High School, 13409 S. Ridgeland Ave., Palos Heights (school cafeteria door 12).

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday, through July 21. There will be no food service July 1 and July 4. Kids and teens need not be a student in CHSD 218 and no enrollment is necessary.

The USDA’s Summer Food Service Program is a federally-funded, state-administered program. SFSP reimburses program operators who serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas.
