League Of Women Voters Hosts Book Discussion of WWI Thriller
The League of Women Voters Palos-Orland Area will host a Zoom discussion July 27 of Margalit Fox's "The Confidence Men."
PALOS, IL — Join the League of Women Voters of the Palos-Orland Area for a rousing discussion of the book “The Confidence Men: How Two Prisoners of War Engineered the Most Remarkable Escape in History.” The meeting will be held via Zoom at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.
The author is Margalit Fox. “The Confidence Men” is the true story of how two prisoners of war in a Turkish POW camp during the First World War escaped using a con game that allowed them to walk out to freedom.
