Learn Something New With Moraine Valley Fall Non-Credit Classes
Registration is underway for non-credit classes continuing all fall at Moraine Valley Community College.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Students can find their passion, brush up skills, and learn something new with Moraine Valley Community College non-credit classes for the fall semester. Classes begin Aug. 23 and later through October.
Arts and Crafts
Unleash the inner artist through a variety of arts and crafts classes. Multi-week courses include Jewelry-Metal Fabrication, Crocheting, Stained Glass and Watercolors. One-day classes include Wreath Buddy – Fall Wreath, Acrylic Pour, Bottle Cutting and Candle Making, and Soap from Scratch.
Culinary Delights
Cook along with chefs Kristyn Slick or Lampros Tzimas as they take students through an array of culinary adventures. Classes include Air Frying, Chinese Take-Out, Charcuterie Boards, Pressure Cooking, Basic Knife Skills and Mexican Food Made Easy.

Birding and Ornithology
The birding expert is back with three new classes aimed to expand students’ knowledge of Illinois wildlife, including Backyard Bird Feeding, Woodpeckers of Illinois or Mammals of Illinois.
Health and Wellness
Explore the essential pillars of wellness, and learn ways to set realistic, achievable and sustainable goals for eating right, fitness and managing stress with Yoga in Action, Whole Food Plant-Based Living, Set Your Heart on Good Health, Daily Habits to Keep Chronic Disease Away, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and more.

Travel
Traveling in 2021 will look a bit different. Students will learn what has changed and how to find the best deals in traveling in 2021 and Beyond, and How to Find Travel Deals.
Computer Technology
Maintaining a Healthy Computer/Laptop will help students understand how to keep a computer or laptop functioning properly, as well as providing techniques to ensure the machine runs smoothly. Students also can learn tactics that scammers use to take personal information in Social Engineering Attacks – How Not to Be a Victim.
Writing Skills
Creative Writing I and II teaches students the basics of fiction writing through principles and techniques for short stories and novels. Discover the art of varied writing in Writing for Different Genres. Preparing Your Manuscript for Publication will show students how to become a professional writer.
Masks are required inside all buildings as well as outdoors when a six-foot distance cannot be maintained. A CampusClear self-screening must be completed on the app or website before coming to campus.
