Mother McAuley Teacher Recognized With Journalism Fellowship

McAuley journalism teacher receives annual SPAC/McCormick Foundation Fellowship.

CHICAGO, IL -- Mother McAuley journalism and English teacher Diana Burban ‘99, has won the 2018 Scholastic Press Association of Chicago (SPAC) and McCormick Foundation Fellowship award. This award was announced on Mar. 8th at the 27th annual scholastic journalism conference led by Linda Jones and held at Roosevelt University. The annual honor awards one Chicago journalism teacher $1500 to attend a summer conference. As of now, Burban plans to attend the annual Journalism Education Advisers Institute in Las Vegas.
