Louis Vuitton Wallet, Ray-Bans, Credit Cards Stolen From Unlocked Cars
Four cars were burglarized in Palos Hills. Police advise residents to lock their vehicle doors and take their valuables into the house.
PALOS HILLS, IL — Thieves entered four unlocked vehicles in Palos Hills, taking Ray-Bans, designer wallets and credit cards between July 4 and July 7, according to police reports.
On July 4, residents told police they leave their vehicle unlocked every night in their driveway. Someone entered their car and took a Louis Vuitton wallet, Ray-Ban sunglasses, license and credit cards.
Two thefts were reported in Timber Condos during the overnight hours of July 7. A vehicle parked in front of a resident's home noted that the passenger window of their car had been rolled down and the doors unlocked. The thief grabbed a wallet containing the resident’s driver’s license and credit cards. Police said several unauthorized purchases had been made before the resident could deactivate the cards.
The same day, someone rummaged through another vehicle in the Timber Condos. The vehicle was found unlocked the next morning. The resident’s purse and wallet, including credit cards and driver's license, were missing.

In the 11100 block of Eagle Drive, a resident said they heard a vehicle’s engine idling next to their car. When they looked out the window, they saw a man rummaging through their vehicle. The resident confronted the man, who casually left in a hunter green Jeep Cherokee.
