Palos Park Police Step Up St. Patrick's DUI Patrols, Offer Rides Home To Partiers

Palos Park police will be ramping up St. Patrick's Day traffic safety patrols March 13 through March 17.

PALOS PARK, IL—The luck of the Irish won’t help if you get behind the wheel after a few green beers. Palos Park police are alerting motorists who intend to partake in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations to expect to see increased traffic safety patrols March 13 to March 17.

Palos Park police will be focusing on the “triple threat” of road safety, including impaired, aggressive and distracted driving. If you are in a bar or at a party in Palos Park and had too much to drink, do not drive, but call Palos Park Police Chief Joe Miller on his cell, at 708-259-1035.

Officers will take you home, but not to another bar or party.
