Mary "Dee" Elizabeth Stuchly

Mary “Dee” Elizabeth Stuchly (nee O’Toole), of Palos Heights passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Dee is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas J. Stuchly. Dee was the loving mother of Mary Sue, Patricia Ann, and Kathryn Marie (Darek) Jaronczyk. She was the cherished grandma of Reggie, Matthew, Luke, Elizabeth, Audrey & Keira. Dee was the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Dee was born in Chicago and was the youngest child of Lawrence and Bess O’Toole. She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Ann O’Toole. She is survived by her dearest brother Lawrence (Joan) O’Toole.

Dee retired from Southwest Airlines after a long and prosperous career. Her time with Southwest Airlines yielded many lifelong friendships and a devotion for community service at the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Dee lived and raised her family in Palos Heights for over 50 years. She was a part of a very special group of friends and neighbors. She was a long-time member of the Palos Heights Women’s Club as well as an active volunteer on several committees for the City of Palos Heights and St. Alexander Church.

Dee had a passion for travel and spent her most recent leisure time in Arizona and California. Dee enjoyed attending theatre and live music, playing bridge and dominos, shopping with her daughters and granddaughters, and enjoying dinners with family and friends.

Memorial Visitation Monday, April 3rd from 10:30am until time of chapel prayers, 12:30pm at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 West 127th Street, Palos Heights. Proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Memorial Mass 1:00pm.
