Mayor: Berkot's Not Coming to Vacant Dominick's

Palos Heights residents have been buzzing with rumors of a big name coming to vacant space—but they’ll have to keep wondering.

Mayor Robert Straz Tuesday quelled rumors that Berkot’s Super Foods will move into the former Dominick’s site, 6401 W. 127th St. Construction residents might have noticed nearby is Dominick’s parent company tearing up the grocer’s former gas station near the store, The Regional News reports.

Straz went on to say the city is ”still negotiating” a new tenant for the space, ”but it’s not [Berkot’s],” The Regional News reports.
