Medicare Open Enrollment Seminar ...Things You Might Not Know!

The SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) counselor at Palos Township will host an Open Enrollment Seminar for Medicare Part A, Part B, and Part D prescription drug coverage on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. The Seminar will be held at the Palos Township offices at 10802 S. Roberts Road in Palos Hills, IL.

Topics to be covered, include:

1. Which choice is right for you – Original Medicare, Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage?

2. Is your physician Medicare approved?

3. Medical/ Hospital Billing Issues

4. Problems affording brand name drugs?

5. Getting the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) that you need (such as oxygen, insulin pumps, CPAP machines, etc.)

6. Financial help: programs like Extra Help, QMB and Medicaid

Our Counselor will be on hand to discuss the above issues – and more. There will also be a question and answer session. This year’s Open Enrollment Period for making changes to your Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans is October 15 through December 7, 2015.
