Moraine Valley Community College Board Seeks To Fill 2 Vacancies
Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter by Jan. 6 to be considered for the Moraine Valley Community College Board.

PALOS HILLS, IL — The Moraine Valley Community College Board of Trustees seeks qualified candidates to fill two vacancies on the board until April 2025. The vacancies were created by the resignations of Bernadette Barrett, who resigned Dec. 4, and Kimberly Hastings Cristelli, who resigned Dec. 16.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of the college district for at least one year. Trustees serve without pay.
Interested residents should submit a cover letter stating their qualifications and reasons for serving on the board, and a resume. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, Jan. 6, 2023. The board of trustees will review all applications in confidence after the deadline. Applicants selected for interviews will meet with the trustees, starting at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11 in Building D, Room D219, on the main Palos Hills campus, 9000 College Parkway.

The vacancies coincided with petition gathering for two 6-term seats on the college board of trustees in the April 2023 election. The eleven candidates, who filed nominating petitions to run in the upcoming April election, may also apply for the vacancies. If appointed, the candidates will have to run for a full term in April 2025.
