Moraine Valley Plans E-Waste, Drug Take-Bake, Shred-A-Thon
Moraine Valley is hosting an e-waste, prescription drug take-back and shred-a-thon this Saturday, Nov. 2.
PALOS HILLS, IL — Moraine Valley Community College is partnering with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department to host an E-Waste, Document Shred-A-Thon and Prescription Drug Take Back event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Building M parking lot on campus, 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.
Cook County residents can bring unused and expired prescription drugs to be safely disposed of. People also can bring electronics they no longer want such as TVs, computers, phones, USBs and more. Paper records and documents can be shredded at this event. For more information call 844-688-7379 or visit sheriff.recycling@cookcountyil.gov.
The community college is also hosting an open house for high school students and their parents during those same hours.
