Moraine Valley's Neighborhood Resource Fair Empowers Families

Local non-profits and academic departments will take part in Moraine Valley's Neighborhood Resource Fair Tuesday, Aug. 8.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Eighteen local organizations and 11 of its own departments that are dedicated to empowering families will participate in Moraine Valley Community College’s Neighborhood Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 8. The fair runs from, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Building M on the Moraine Valley campus, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Families can access resources that address a variety of household challenges. Anyone can attend this event to meet with and learn about the different groups and services they offer. Moraine Valley will provide information about its English as a Second Language classes for non-native English speakers and prep classes for those who don’t have a high school diploma but want to continue their education.

Other participating groups include: Arab American Family Services, Access to Care, Blue Island Public Library, Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County, Chicago Ridge Public Library, Crisis Center for South Suburbia, Legal Aid Chicago, NAMI Metro Suburban, Oak Lawn Public Library, Orland Park Public Library, Pace, Pathlights, Peace of Mind, Pillars Community Health, Sisters Working it Out, Together We Cope, Women Employed and more.
