Moraine Valley's One-Day Culinary Classes Teach Candy Making
Moraine Valley's one-day culinary classes offered this spring show students how to create their favorite sugary sweets.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- Two new, one-day culinary classes offered this spring at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills will show you how to create your favorite sugary sweets.
Candy Making 101 shows students how to make their favorite classic desserts including English toffee, chocolate walnut fudge and marshmallows in this demonstration class.
This chef-taught class is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 from 6 to 9 p.m., in Building M, Room M143. The cost is $79. Registration is required; the course code for this class is CA4-385-200.
Are you a chocolate lover? The Chocolates Around the World course explores the world of chocolate through a tasting of various flavors, including dark and milk chocolates. Students will learn how to use chocolate in a variety of ways. The chef also will demonstrate how to make chocolate mousse and triple chocolate cookies. This class meets Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m., in Building M, Room M143. The cost is $79. Registration is required; the course code for this class is CA4-386-200.

For those interested in obtaining employment in the culinary arts, Moraine Valley also offers degree and certificate programs in Culinary Arts Management, Baking and Pastry Arts, and Restaurant and Hotel Management.
