Music Educator Gets Kids Moving During Preschool Event
Program Part of Preschool for All

They were ‘jigglin’ and they were 'jammin’ to the sounds of familiar nursery rhymes as guitarist and music educator Jodi Koplin performed a series of interactive songs meant to get kids up and moving their bodies.
Dorn School’s all-purpose room (APR) was packed Tuesday night as preschool students, their parents and some siblings attended one of the two monthly events required for participation in the extremely popular federally-funded Preschool for All Family Fun Night.
Parents are also expected to attend one monthly parent workshop.

Bernadeta Slonina attended the ‘Jigglejam’ event with her children Adam and Gabriela, both of whom attend preschool at Sorrick School. “I really like the program for its multi-cultural component and the fact that my children are learning so much.”
Some of the songs that Koplin performed included: The “Itsy, Bitsy Spider,” “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and the “Get Dressed Boogie.” Koplin, who said she “changed careers” in her mid-30’s, said her songs promote self-esteem and spark imagination.”
