More than 250 students and parents attended Multilingual Storytime on May 8, where Conrady Junior High School was transformed into a global village for an evening filled with stories, crafts and a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity.
Students from preschool through eighth grade, along with their families and staff, came together for an evening that offered a delightful blend of literacy and cultural exploration. Popular sessions like "Reading Zeit and Zaatar Storytime!" brought families together to create their own zeit and zaatar sandwiches while enjoying a story that included Arabic vocabulary.
In another session, students embarked on an adventure with "Farmer Duck," reading the story in both English and Romanian. They even got their hands dirty planting seeds, just like Farmer Duck, with the added bonus of meeting adorable baby chicks!
