After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Carol Hartl (nee Koester). At the time of his passing, they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Chapel prayers Saturday, February 1st, 12:30 p.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 1:00 p.m.
