Palos 118 Educational Foundation, PFA Donate $53,000 for New Displays

The donation will be used for the purchase and installation of new 70-inch interactive displays at the dis two elementary schools.

The Palos 118 Educational Foundation and Parent Faculty Association (PFA) recently donated a total of $53,000 to Palos School District 118 for classroom equipment upgrades.

The donation will be used for the purchase and installation of new 70-inch interactive displays at the District’s two elementary schools, Palos East, and Palos West.

“The 118 Foundation directors are committed to the lifelong learners of Palos School District 118,” said District 118 Educational Foundation president Sheila Pacholski.

“Our students greatly benefit from having this technology in the classroom,” she said, noting that the donation is in keeping with the Foundation’s mission of F.U.N. (Fund Unfunded Needs) for the school district.

“Palos 118 PFA is grateful to be able to give back to the District in such a big and lasting way,” said District 118 PFA president Jennifer Bleskin.

“Donations like this would not be possible without the continued support of our volunteers, as well as the families and other community members that participate in our fundraisers and events each year,” she added.

At their board meeting in September, Dr. Anthony Scarsella, Palos School District 118’s Superintendent of Schools, thanked the Foundation and PFA for their donations which he said will help support classroom learning.

“Having the latest technological supports for our teachers and students is essential to learning and makes the work of the Foundation and the PFA as important as ever,” said Dr. Scarsella.
