Palos School District 118 has received the Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). The award follows a review of the District’s 2022-23 annual budget.

The award “demonstrates the high standards the school district maintains for school business management and budget policies,” wrote Siobhán McMahon, Chief Operations Officer and Interim Executive Director of ASBO in a letter to the district.

Dr. Anthony Scarsella, Palos 118 Superintendent of Schools, commended Chief School Business Official, Justin Veihman, and the District 118 business office for achieving the award for the 15th straight year.
