Palos 118 Supt. Dr. Anthony Scarsella Named New IASA President
Dr. Scarsella is serving his 10th year as superintendent of Palos 118 where he has worked for the past 17 years as an administrator.

Palos Community Consolidated School District 118’s Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Anthony Scarsella, is the new president of the Illinois Association of School Administrators (IASA).
IASA is a state-chartered association of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) and serves as the premier advocacy organization for school administrators in Illinois with nearly 1,750 members.
“It is an honor to have been elected to serve as president of IASA. The organization does incredible work supporting superintendents from across our state and advocating for legislation to strengthen public education in Illinois,” said Dr. Scarsella.

“I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and IASA Executive Director Brent Clark to carrying out the organization’s mission over the next 12-months.”
“During my time on the Board of Education, I have seen the positive impact Dr. Scarsella’s dedication and steady leadership have had here in our district,” said Palos 118 School Board President Pam Paris.

Dr. Scarsella just completed his 10th year as superintendent and has served the Palos 118 community for the past 17 years as an administrator. He is an IASA School for Advanced Leadership Fellow, past president of the Superintendents Roundtable of Northern Illinois, and past South Cook IASA Regional Director. He previously worked for the Illinois State Board of Education and began his career as a high school social studies teacher.
