8 Palos Park, Palos Heights Restaurants Showcased In First-Ever Palos Area Restaurant Week

The Palos Area Chamber's first-ever restaurant week kicks off Jan. 22 through Jan. 29, showcasing Palos Park and Palos Heights restaurants.

PALOS, IL — The Palos Area Chamber of Commerce presents Palos Restaurant Week, showcasing restaurants in Palos Heights and Palos Park. A year in the planning, eight restaurants will be offering diners a prix fixe meal or a 10 percent discount during the first ever restaurant week, Jan. 22 to Jan. 29.

“I think it’s a great way to get people to eat and shop local in Palos Heights and Palos Park,” said Palos Park Mayor Nicole Milovich-Walters. “I hope we can continue to grow it over the years. I’m so excited to see it coming to fruition.”

Each of the eight Palos-area restaurants being showcased is a member of the Palos Area Chamber of Commerce.

“This is something the chamber has been talking about for a few years. We thought it was a great way to get the community out and about dining at the restaurants in the Palos area in January,” said Selena Georgelos, vice present of the Palos Area Chamber of Commerce. “We hope this year is just the start, and we are looking forward to the restaurants seeing our community support.”

Capri Italiano Ristorante, 12307 S. Harlem Ave., Palos Heights – The family-owned Capri restaurant offers traditional Italian fare featuring Chef Maurizo Jr.’s personal creations, including pasta, seafood, chicken and other specialties of the house, topped off by a hearty glass of wine. Capri has been highlighted by the late Sun Times food critic Pat Bruno, of the Chicago Sun Times and the show “Check Please!” Whole wheat and gluten-free pasta available at an additional charge.

Francesca’s Vicinato, 12960 S. LaGrange Road, Palos Park – Part of the Francesca restaurant group, the Palos Park location offers the menu features the zesty earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio.

Franklin’s Pub House, 12306 S. Harlem Ave., Palos Heights -- A family friendly American Gastro pub known for its scratch-made comfort food, rotating craft beer selection and classic pub atmosphere with live music on weekends and sports viewing.

Harmony Chinese Restaurant, 13248 S. 76th Ave., Palos Heights – A popular Chiese restaurant known its large portions, featuring flavorful dishes like orange chicken, crab rangoon and fried rice. Dine in or order delivery through Uber Eats and Grubhub. According to Google, the most popular are orange chicken, crab Rangoon, egg foo young and Singapore noodles.

Jullianni’s Pizza, 7239 W. College Drive, Palos Heights – A popular Italian restaurant known for its made-to-order pizza, thin crust pan and stuffed, pasta, sandwiches and other Italian Dishes. The restaurant features a casual atmosphere, a bar and TVs for sports viewing. Jullianni's pizza is made with a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Meshico, 7231 W Collete Drive, Palos Heights – A popular authentic Mexican restaurant known for its traditional home style dishes from Aguascalientes, Mexico, with a focus on fresh ingredients and warm, inviting atmosphere. Menu highlight include tacos, fajitas burritos, chilaquilea and soups.

Oranges Pancake House, 12960 S. La Grange Road, Palos Park – Oranges offers breakfast fare, including eggs, bowls, sandwiches and classics, featuring bananas foster and banana nut pancakes, blueberry orange French toast and red velvet pancakes.

Rooftop Johnny’s Bar and Grill, 12231 S. Harlem Ave., Palos Heights – A fun multi-level restaurant and bar where the good vibes never stop.
