Palos-Area Runners Finish 2017 Boston Marathon

Several Palos-area runners have accomplished the daunting task of finishing the Boston Marathon.
On Sunday, April 17, more than 30,000 runners took off from Hopkinton and traveled 26.2 miles to Boston.
Valerie Ferrin, 24, of Palos Park was the fastest, turning in an official time of 3:23:20.
Here are the other Palos runners and their times:

• Rita Jasenauskas, 43, of Palos Hills, finished in 4:11:48
• Megan O’Brien, 22, of Palos Heights, finished in 4:30:26

A pair of Kenyans were crowned 2017 Boston Marathon champions.
