Palos-Area Schools Announce E-Learning Friday Ahead Of Extreme Cold: UPDATED 1X
School districts are announcing e-learning and closures for Friday, Jan. 23, ahead of the extreme cold.
PALOS, IL — With wind chills expected to dip below -35 degrees before zero on Friday, school districts are starting to call remote learning and/or delayed openings in advance of the Arctic chill descending upon the Chicago area, according to the National Weather Service.
The dangerous cold begins Thursday night into Friday morning, and bitter cold will continue through the weekend, the weather service said.
