Palos East Elementary Students Knit Blankets for Charity
Students donated handmade fleece blankets to Knitting It Together, a non-profit that provides items for cancer patients in area hospitals.

Student council members at Palos East Elementary recently created fleece blankets for an area charity that supports adult cancer patients. Students donated handmade fleece blankets to Knitting It Together, a non-profit that accepts handmade and hand knit, crochet, fleece, and quilted blankets and hats. The non-profit donates to five Chicagoland hospitals including Northwestern Medicine in Palos Heights with the aim of providing items of comfort to adult cancer patients undergoing treatment.
