Palos Heights Cancels Summer Events Through End of July

Palos Heights makes difficult decision to cancel summer concerts, Fourth of July parade, outdoor movies and Classic Car event.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — The City of Palos Heights has canceled all summer events through the end of July due to the pandemic. Alternate events are being planned for the fall.

The following events have been canceled:

  • Outdoor concerts and movies through the end of July
  • July 3 fireworks
  • Fourth of July parade
  • Pool closed until further notice
  • Car Clasic

City officials will continue to follow recommendations for the public’s safety, as it pertains to the maximum number of people in a group, social distancing and public park usage. The recreation is working on an alternate Car Classic event, and a possibly a special community event in the fall, incorporating food, games, music and fireworks.
