Palos Heights Offers Electronics Recycling Saturday At Metra Station

Drop off your old electronics for recycling at the Palos Heights Metra Station, Saturday, Oct. 5. For residents only, photo ID required.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Palos Heights residents can drop off electronics for recycling Saturday, Oct. 5, at the north end of the Palos Heights Metra Station parking lot, 11451 Southwest Highway. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. or until the container is full, after which no more electronic items will be accepted.

Acceptable items for recycling include:

  • Computer monitors
  • Keyboard and computer mouses
  • Printers, fax machines and scanners
  • Televisions
  • DVD player, DVD recorders and VCRs
  • Digital converter boxes
  • Cable servers and satellite receivers
  • Portable digital music players and video game consoles

This service is available to Palos Heights residents only. Photo ID is required. The container fills up fast, so get there early.
