Palos Heights and Palos Park Police Step Up Labor Day DUI Patrols

Palos Park and Palos police will be patroling the roads through Labor Day, Sept. 4, for impaired and distracted drivers.

PALOS, IL — Palos Park and Palos Heights police will be adding extra patrols over Labor Day weekend. This year Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 4.

Officers will be keeping a close eye on the roads and enforcing the law to keep motorists safe from now through the early morning hours of Sept. 5. Expect to see a heightened police presence in Palos Park and other nearby communities over the holiday.

Additional officers will be on patrol cracking down on impaired drivers, speeders, and those who are a danger to themselves and others on our roadways. State, county and local police will be out looking for those creating a danger on our roadways over the long Labor Day Weekend

Those who will be out enjoying the holiday weekend and who drink alcohol are highly encouraged to designate a non-drinking driver in advance of the weekend. Motorists are encouraged to call 9-1-1 to report suspected drunk drivers.
