Palos Heights Police Taking Applications for Police Officers
Palos Heights Police Department accepting applications for police officer June 18 to July 6. Written exam and orientation is July 14.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL -- The City of Palos Heights Police and Fire Commission will be testing for the position of full-time police officers starting June 18 through July 6. Applications and general information are available on the city’s website. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, July 6.
Applications and general information will be available at Palos Heights City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applicants must be at between the ages of 20 and 35 at the time of the written exam. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is required. The starting salary is $65,738, including paid vacation, holidays, furnished uniforms, and health and life insurance benefits.
Applicants are required to attend an orientation and take a written exam. Those who pass the exam will be placed on the eligibility list, with a final eligibility list after preference points obtained upon written request after the written test. The orientation and written exam will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at the Palos Heights Recreation Center, 6601 W. 127th St., Palos Heights.

Final candidates must pass an oral interview, physical, agility test, polygraph and background check prior to employment.
Return complete applications along with a $25 non-refundable fee to the attention of the police and fire commission at Palos Heights City Hall, 7607 W. College Drive, Palos Heights.
