Palos Hill Emergency Management Agency Holding Open Interviews for Volunteers
Public safety agency serving municipalities throughout Cook County is holding open interviews for prospective volunteers on July 3.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- The Palos Hills Emergency Management Agency is looking to rapidly increase its volunteer ranks. The agency will be holding open interviews starting at 3 p.m. July 3, at Palos Hills City Hall, 10335 S. Roberts Road. Residents interested in public safety and serving their community and surrounding communities are asked to schedule an appointment at the PHEMA website.
This is a highly sought-after, public safety department that is deployed for emergency and nonemergency situations. PHEMA serves including Palos Hills, Palos Heights, Palos Park, Worth, Lemont, Evergreen Park, Hometown, Melrose Park and numerous other municipalities throughout Cook County. The department also assists the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Interested volunteers must be age 16 and older, have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma preferred, and no criminal background. Dedication and commitment are required. Volunteer officers are trained in various areas such as: CPR/AED, National Incident Management Systems, Incident Command Systems, communications, crowd/traffic control, defensive tactics and more.
