Palos Hills Business Claims It Was Paid For Services With Fraudulent Credit Cards

The business owner said they were later contacted by a point-of-service app that payments were being contested, Palos Hills police said.

PALOS HILLS, IL —A Palos Hills business reported it was paid by a client with fraudulent credit cards, reports said.

Officers took a report of a deceptive practice at a business in the 10500 block of Roberts Road. The business owner told police they owned an establishment that fulfilled orders and received payments via a point-of-sale app.

The owner was later contacted that the payments were being contested because they were fraudulently made with stolen credit cards, reports said.
