Palos Hills Man Charged In Fatal Bridgeview Parking Lot Shooting
A Palos Hills man is accused of shooting an Oak Lawn man to death early Friday morning in a Bridgeview business's parking lot.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL -- A Palos Hills man has been charged with allegedly shooting another man to death in Bridgeview early Friday morning. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office approved first-degree murder charges against 56-year-old Howard Strepek. The deceased man was identified as Jerzy Milewski, 55, of Oak Lawn.
Bridgeview police officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired around 5:35 a.m. Oct. 13. When officers arrived, they found Milewski laying in the parking lot of Gerhard Design, located at 8540 S. Thomas Ave. with multiple gunshot wounds.
Milewski was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead. Strepek was taken into custody soon after the discovery, where he was said to have cooperated with the police investigation.

Strepak lives in the 10700 block of Meadow Lane in Palos Hills. He has a bond hearing scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building at 26th Street and California.
