Palos Hills Man Threatens Girls With Piece of Wood: Cops

PALOS HILLS, IL -- A Palos Hills man was arrested after he threatened some girls with a piece of wood, reports said. Krystof Swiatek, 63, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Swiatek has a court hearing on Nov. 16 in Bridgeview.

According to police, Swiatek was making repairs to the road in front of his house on Gruener Court and left the materials in the roadway. Around 11:45 p.m. Sept. 27, a vehicle with three female juveniles was driving by when they accidentally ran into the pile of materials.

The girls were clearing the roadway when Swiatek came out of his house and started yelling at them, police said. Swiatek allegedly pushed one of the girls and then grabbed a piece of wood. The girls told police that Swiatek held the wood in a threatening manner and continued yelling at them.
