Palos Hills Residents Say ‘We Never Rented In California’ In ID Theft

PALOS HILLS, IL — Residents were scammed out of thousands of dollars when their identity was stolen, reports said.

Palos Hills police went to the 10700 block of Olympia Circle on Oct. 3 to take an identity theft report. The residents said they were notified by their credit union that their account had been flagged by a debt recovery agency.

The outstanding debit was $4,200 for an apartment in California. The residents said they never rented property there.
