Palos-Orland League of Women Voters Hosts Speaker On Gun Violence
Activist James McGrath will speak on 'Gun Violence - It's Complicated' Saturday, April 15, at the Palos Heights Public Library.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — The Palos-Orland League of Women Voters will host a meeting on gun violence Saturday, April 15. Coffee will be served at 9:30 a.m., with the meeting starting at 10 a.m. at the Palos Heights Public Library, 12501 S. 71st Ave. The public is invited to attend.
“Gun Violence – It’s Complicated” will be presented by James McGrath, who lives by the motto that democracy is not a spectator sport. He is a precinct captain, election judge and community organizer. McGrath works to educate people about the impact of money in politics. After Sandy Hook and Parkland, McGrath helped to start a chapter of Moms Demand Action in Barrington.
