Palos Park Citizens Watch Group Presents Police Statute to Village Board, Sept. 11
Citizens On Patrol Service presents statue of uniform police officer during Palos Park Village Board Meeting on Sept. 11.

A Palos Park community policing group will formally present a new statue of a uniformed police officer during the village board meeting on Sept. 11. Citizens on Patrol Service raised the funds to pay for the stature. COPS serves as additional eyes and ears on the street for Palos Park police.
The statue will be located just inside the front foyer of the Palos Park Police Department. The statue is a testament to the character and level of community involvement in Palos Park and the people of the community Chief Joe Miller said
“It takes more bravery and courage to be a police officer than it ever has in the past and modern police officers must do more than uphold the law,” Miller added. “They also serve as counselors who are called upon to help people in trouble.”
