Palos Park Hit By Rash of Unlocked Car Burglaries

Four unlocked cars were burglarized over a 20-hour period in Palos Park, cops say.

PALOS PARK, IL -- Palos Park police are investigating a rash of unlocked car burglaries along the Southwest Highway corridor. Police said four thefts were reported over a 20-hour period between Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. In each case, the cars were left unlocked in the driveway.

Thefts have been reported on Woodland Trail and Timber Lane off Southwest Highway. Locking your car door could keep you from becoming a crime victim. Police are encouraging all residents to lock their doors andnot leave their keys in their car.

Palos Park police say they are following up leads.
