Palos Park Police and Library Team Up To Deliver Library Materials to Homebound Residents

Disabled and elderly residents can order library materials over the phone to be delivered via the Palos Park police.

PALOS PARK, IL -- The Palos Park Public Library and Palos Park Police Department are teaming up to deliver library materials to homebound library patrons. Patrons must be Palos Park card holders to take advantage of the “You Are Not Alone” program.

This full library service is offered to those who are unable to come to the library temporarily or permanently due to a physical disability or other mobility limitations. Resident can call the library and request books, large-print titles, magazines, audiobooks, music on CD and DVDs ($1 fee applies).

Library staff can also help select books and materials based on the patron’s interests. The Palos Park Police Department arranges for delivery of the requested materials to homebound persons. For more information, or to register for this program, call the Palos Park Public Library at 708-448-1534.
