Celebrate Mother's Day with the Palos Park Woman's Club Saturday, May 11 and enjoy the serene beauty of Lake Katherine and other activities.

PALOS, IL — Celebrate Mother’s Day with the Palos Park Woman’s Club Saturday, May 11 for a much anticipated walk around Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Garden, 7402 Lake Katherine Drive, Palos Heights. The event starts at 8 a.m. and features an artisan market, music, projects, kids activities and more.
The woman’s club is bringing the community together with an array of activities and attractions. Come celebrate the special bond between mothers and their families against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Katherine. Whether you’re an avid walker or prefer a leisurely stroll, trails offer 1-mile or 3-mile walking options amid the serene beauty of Lake Katherine. Who knows, you may even catch a glimpse of the swan family and their baby cygnets.
Artisans will be on-site, offering an assortment of unique Mother's Day gifts for that special woman in your life. Feel the rhythm of the day with music adding a festive vibe to the event.

Professional photographers will be available to snap beautiful family portraits against the scenic backdrop of Lake Katherine.
Children’s activities are also featured with face painting that will turn them into their favorite characters or participate in a Mother’s Day Project with McCord Gallery & Cultural Center.

General admission is $25 and children 12 and under, $15. Free for children 2 and under. Register online at Palos Park Woman’s Club Mother’s Day Walk. Registration will remain open through the day of the event. Proceeds benefit the woman’s club.
