Students from Palos School District 118’s South Middle School recently donated to a local non-profit.

Members of the school’s SAVE Promise Club raised $125 which was donated to the Children’s Farm at the Center in Palos Park as part of the groups’ Community Action Month outreach efforts. Students collected spare change from the school’s connections classes to raise the donation funds.

SAVE Promise Club advisor Sarah Leahy, said that students selected the Children's Farm in order to help a local charitable organization that assists animals. She also noted that several had attended The Children Farm’s preschool and other programs which focus on teaching kids about livestock and other farming practices
