Palos South Track Teams Take Home Top Trophies at SWIC Conference

Palos South took home three 1st place trophies and a 2nd place finish at the SWIC track and field conference at Andrew High School on May 9.

Palos South Middle School’s track teams took home several top trophies from the SWIC conference at Andrew High School in May.

The seventh-grade girls and boys teams, along with the eighth-grade boys team, all earned first-place finishes. The eighth-grade girls team won second place. The team’s coaches include Tim Kahle, Ashley Partin, Katie Wollschlager, and Ryan Capriotti.

Coach Ashley Partin noted that she and the other coaches were proud of the student athletes on their performance at the conference and during the regular season.

“Winning three conference titles and a second-place finish speaks volumes about the dedication, resilience, and competitiveness of our athletes,” said Partin who also singled out the team’s support of one another, and the pride they took in representing Palos South in the competition.

“This was an outstanding weekend for our program, and we couldn’t be prouder of our athletes,” said Partin.
